Articles published and award-winning poems and stories
I had a light-hearted piece published in The Age’s Sunday Life magazine about couples needing to get a TV series to keep their love alive. I’ve also had a couple of pieces on spirituality published at the Melbourne Catholic, one about the cracks that make life perfect, and another on trying to find a home in the universe.
I won the Studio Gallery Poetry Prize with a poem called First Day of Holidays (find it on my poetry page) and was runner-up in the short story component of the same competition with a story called At the Crossing (find it on my stories page – it features one of the characters from my novel, We. Are. Family.). And I was short-listed in the Newcastle Short Fiction Competition with A Belt for Buddha, a story from what I hope will become my next book! (also find that story on my stories page)
